The story behind the game
Swordfighting in VR comes with its own unique challenges, and one of the biggest is the lack of two-way physics—things like collision feedback, latency, and locomotion. When your blade clashes with your opponent’s, you don’t feel the resistance of their weapon, which can break the sense of immersion.
To overcome this, we’ve developed three key mechanics:
1) Breaking Blade: Adds a layer of strategy to every clash.
2) Mirror Movement: Enables a room-scale model with footwork-based gameplay.
3) Martial Arts System: Requires you to adapt to your character’s fighting style, making each duel feel skillful and intentional.
Together, these systems ensure you feel like a true warrior, rather than someone wildly flailing a sword.
