The story behind the game

Was it the game that launched the studio or the studio that launched the game? It’s the classic chicken-or-egg dilemma! Either way, this student project became Trebuchet’s very first game.
The mechanics and art direction, while creative, were actually shaped by very practical constraints. Why a prison? It allowed us to easily integrate room-scale technology by setting the gameplay inside a cell. And why egg-shaped characters? Because they were simple to model in 3D when the team was just getting started.
